A marshmallow that's been roasted, gooey cheese between two pieces of buttery bread, warm chocolate in the middle of your favorite dessert; is there anything better than something that melts? In my opinion, not much. Especially when that thing is a baby. Don't worry, we're not roasting, toasting or baking Eliana, but she melts in her own little way. Each day, I put the older girls down for a nap and then snuggle with the baby. Sure, there are a million other things I could be doing, but I choose to spend those quiet moments with Eliana. She squirms around for a bit, occasionally lifts her head, smiles at me and then falls asleep on my chest. Her little body gets heavier, she snuggles in closer, she melts. I love these moments.
It's hard to believe we've already had three joyful months with Eliana. Her rapid growth is a constant reminder that she'll be running around with her sisters before we know it. Luckily, we are enjoying every second of melting.
