How-to Tutu

I've had quite a few people ask me how I made the tutus, so here is a how-to.  It is really easy and relatively inexpensive.  I hope this is helpful.

You need tulle and elastic.

Decide how long you want the tutu and then cut the tulle twice that length.

Tie a knot near the end of the elastic. Fold the tulle in half and make a loop.

Hold the elastic near the loop.

Pull the ends of the tulle over the elastic and through the loop.

Tighten slightly and move the piece towards the knot in the elastic.

Continue with the next piece.

This is 45 pieces of tulle.  For a fluffier tutu, make the knots tighter and closer together so you can fit more pieces.
 Matching Headband:
Cut six pieces of tulle (these are about 3 inches each).

Layer the pieces and pinch in the middle.

Use pipe cleaner to keep the pieces together.

A little tugging and fluffing gets you this.  I then attach it to a headband.
