Please take care of Grandpa Steve during his Whipple procedure tomorrow. Make sure to get all the cancer out so he feels better. Our whole family will be waiting in the lobby for good news. Thank you in advance for fixing our Grandpa.

It's amazing how much can change in just a few weeks. Cancer came out of nowhere and quickly became part of our daily vocabulary. Tomorrow we will be counting on love, faith, hope and modern medicine.
***UPDATE***
The surgery took longer than expected, but went well. The doctor thinks they got everything, although we won't be sure until pathology results come back in a few weeks. We're thankful and exhausted after 14 hours at the Cleveland Clinic. Hopefully there will be more good news in our future.
