Mate's 30th

While Mate will agree that getting the keys to our new house was a pretty great start to his 30s, we couldn't let this milestone birthday pass without some celebrating.

On Saturday, I surprised him with dinner at L'Albatros and tickets to see Ira Glass (one of his favorite public radio hosts) at Playhouse Square.  The weather was perfect for dining on the patio, our meals were delicious and the show was great. 

Every year, Mate gets a new version of this picture.

The girls insisted on party hats during breakfast.

 Eliana was thrilled to have her daddy at story time.

 

After picking Mia and Ava up from school, we had a yummy lunch at 3 Palms Pizzeria.

 

No birthday would be complete without cake and presents. Good thing he had helpers to blow out ALL those candles.

We are so thankful for this guy and all there is to celebrate!
