We have two 4-year-olds running around here with opinions about things they never cared about before. Last weekend, we took the girls to the new house to see their freshly painted rooms. Let's just say, they weren't over-the-moon excited by the gray walls. Ava had been hoping for a rainbow room and Mia has always insisted on indigo (blue is so last year). We planned on gray and yellow for Ava,
blue indigo and gray for Mia and giving Eliana the gray and pink decor from our previous house. Even before unveiling the paint colors, I'd been second guessing our color scheme decision. Eliana has developed an affection for all things yellow, but I was hoping that wouldn't last since I bought her a personalized pink pillow for her birthday. No such luck. This, coupled with Mia and Ava's strong opinions, prompted us to forgo our original plans and entertain their style choices. Taking them shopping for new bedding could have yielded some unwanted results, but we're quite happy with what they chose:
There are a lot of ways rainbow bedding could go terribly wrong. Thankfully, Ava's choice isn't one of them.

Mia chose this Parisian themed quilt thanks to its shades of blue.

| Eliana will get the bedding originally intended for Ava. Let's hope yellow stays her favorite color for a little while longer. |

| Their opinions don't stop with home decor. These girls have started dressing themselves. I briefly contemplated asking Ava to change when she appeared with a purple striped shirt, red striped pants and her zebra hat, but stopped myself. The girl likes stripes and that's okay with me. | | | |
