This week, all three girls had dental appointments. Mia and Ava even
had their first experience with x-rays. I was pretty impressed by their
level of cooperation, although I'm not sure they were very fond of the
process. When the dentist came to check their teeth, she gave each of
them a big thumbs up. She even went as far as
to say that Eliana had the cleanest toddler teeth she has seen in a long
time. That was all very lovely, but I can take no credit for the
compliments. Mate is the resident teeth-brusher in this house and
deserves all the dental glory. This seems like a silly thing to write
about, except that I have to admit that I am often annoyed by Mate's commitment to brushing
and flossing. If we are on a time crunch, the first thing I do is tell
him he is going to have to alter his dental routine. I can assure you
this isn't his favorite thing to hear. After the girls' glowing report
from the dentist, I'll work on being less annoyed and more thankful.
