We spent the entire weekend celebrating birthdays around here. It was so heartwarming to watch Eliana's excitement and Mia and Ava's emerging understanding of what their "coming home" birthday is all about. Luckily for all three of them, my little sister and I are willing to share our birthday month. Yes, that's right, there are 5 birthdays on my side of the family in February. Here's what that looks like:
A pie for my sister's 20th, three cupcakes for our trio of girls and and a cheesecake for my 30th. The singing of "Happy Birthday" gets a bit tricky with five of us, but we manage.
What's better than 5 birthday celebrations in one? Six. Today, my mother-in-law threw a lovely party for the the girls, my sister-in-law, grandfather-in-law and myself:
While I'd like to take the time to go into detail about what a wonderful time we had this weekend, we've got a very early plane to catch.
Looks like these ladies are pretty excited about our spontaneous decision to spend my 30th birthday in Disney World. Sunshine, here we come.
