We are one week into the new year and I'm happy to report we're off to a great start. First, Mate and I got to go on a date thanks to my little sister and her boyfriend. Although they are the best babysitters, we thought it best to stay close to home since Eliana isn't the most pleasant child when in the care of others. Luckily, the new Hard Rock Rocksino opened up in the neighboring town. We decided to check it out and eat dinner at Bernie Kosar's restaurant. If we're going to spend that much on a meal, we'd rather go downtown, but it was definitely a good alternative. Anyway, a few hours of just us time was the perfect beginning to our weekend.

On Saturday, we decided to run errands together as a family. After the post office and grocery store, it looked like we were starting to lose our little ladies. Mate and I decided to make a pit-stop for lunch and some playtime before our last errand. It wasn't part of our original plan, but it sure was nice not worrying about rushing home (I always feel like I have to do that when I'm out by myself). Perhaps, the best part of our day was seeing how well the girls behaved while Mate shopped for some new jeans. They waited patiently while we piled up pair after pair and seemed to enjoy the dressing room fashion show. By 1:00 on Saturday, we were home with nothing to do for the rest of the weekend. That is rare, so we made sure to make the most of our time:

I must add that we are thankful, thankful, thankful our furnace and pipes are withstanding the frigid temperatures, ensuring our great week stays great!
