Happy 3rd Birthday

As I was shopping for Mia and Ava's 3rd birthday, I was surprised to find myself getting a bit choked up.  I mustered all my strength to avoid looking like a crazy lady crying in the grocery store. Don't get me wrong, I am ready, ready, ready to say good-bye to the "terrible twos", but 3 just seems so much older than 2.   They have surely grown leaps and bounds in just one short year.

Mia:
1. You drag your monkey and blanket around the house all day long.  They are by far your favorite possessions.
2. You love to play on the iPad, sing songs, go to the library, and jump on the bed.
3. We are constantly amazed by how quickly you learn new things.
4. You love reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and watching Leap Frog movies.
5. You are strong willed and seem to enjoy testing boundaries.  We're sure you'll channel those traits to do wonderful things.

Ava:
1. You cling to different objects all the time.  Right now, felt circles that you call cookies are your favorite.
2. You love to swim, play with letters, line toys up in order and play with blocks.
3. We are so grateful for your constant willingness to snuggle.
4. You love reading Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and watching Mickey Mouse.
5. You are easily upset, but we're sure that sensitivity will help you become an empathetic young lady.
