Stop, Drop and Roll

We're not practicing fire safety around here, but we did stop, drop and roll this weekend.  On the side of our house is a hill that I've always thought would be good for rolling down.  I'm not exactly sure at what age you start rolling down hills, but two-and-a-half seems like as good a time as any.  Mate held the baby while I demonstrated for Mia and Ava.  It took a few tries, but before long, they got the hang of it.  The three of us spent quite a long time rolling down that hill.  There's something pretty great about the combination of soft grass, giggles and dizziness.
Eliana couldn't partake in that fun, but there's been some excitement in her life, too.  She took her first ride in a new car seat, moved out of our room and turned 7 months old.

As much as I would love for her to stay itty-bitty, I've been pretty good about all the transitions this month.  The only big thing left for us to do in the near future is get her to fall asleep on her own.  I thought about giving that a go tonight, but a few minutes of crying was more than enough for me.   It'll happen one day . . . maybe.
