Today, Eliana rolled over from her back to her stomach for the first time. She's been flopping over the other way for a few weeks, but this was the real deal. It made me realize that I better take a minute to document what all the girls have been up to lately so I don't forget:
Mia and Ava are finally starting to eat most of the food we give them again. The veggies might not get swallowed, but at least they're willing to try them.
The other evening, they started walking down the sidewalk. Instead of leading them to the neighborhood playground, we decided to see if they could find it on their own. To our surprise, those ladies knew exactly where they were going.
Their hair is finally long enough that it hangs in their eyes if I don't clip it back. Those mullets we've been sporting for quite some time are about to be gone for good, hopefully.
They are forming more complete sentences everyday and keeping us entertained with their favorite phrases. We especially enjoy these:
"Amazing"
"Good night, sweetie" (nothing like having your kid call you sweetie)
"Delicious"
"See you soon"
"Be nice"
"x, xylophone" (Since they know "x" doesn't make the "zzz" sound, they say "x, xylophone" instead of just xylophone).
This morning, I went to make our bed, but the girls had other plans. It was one of those times where I just followed their lead. We ended up spending quite a bit of time in the "house" we created with the comforter.
As I began typing this entry, I felt a little hand rubbing my back. Thanks, Ava! I'll take that over an expensive massage, any day.
The girls have begun singing along to songs on the radio. Cuteness overload.
Ava is still obsessed with hats.
As for our little Eliana, she's the best singleton we could have asked for. At one point over the last week, I think she went two full days without crying.
The above might be because she's just a tiny bit spoiled.
Her smiles are contagious.
She has started playing in her bouncer and sitting in her bumbo.
Teeth are on their way, or this kid just really likes to gnaw on her hand.
Growing, learning, challenging us. . .
