Mate's 3rd Father's Day

I was well prepared for Mate's third Father's Day and had been looking forward to spending time celebrating what a great dad he is.  Unfortunately, I woke up Sunday morning feeling really sick.  On any other day, I would have let Mate shoulder most of the parenting responsibilities, but I was determined not to let this ruin his day:

We started with a big breakfast

Throughout the day, Mate had daddy breaks.  This one said he had to go play on his iPad for 30 minutes.

He snuggled with the girls (or huggled as Mia would say)

One of his presents (I was excited to make this now that we have three kids).

We spent some time at the playground before going to dinner

He read the girls a new story. . .

. . . and took them up to bed.

I hope it was just the right amount of family time and relaxation.  We sure do appreciate this guy!
