We have had a really great first month living with family and are very thankful for such an easy transition. However, I had quite the reality check during Twins Days this weekend. Our crazy driving schedule began Friday when the older girls had a play date at their preschool in the morning and I had to work at the festival in the evening. That required two trips down to Twinsburg on the same day. I also drove down on Saturday and then again today. Perhaps four trips in three days doesn't sound too bad, but the girls and I will be going back tomorrow for Eliana's 18 month check-up and then I have one more round-trip to look forward to on Tuesday thanks to a dentist appointment. Seriously . . . that's a lot of time in the car and a lot of Sam Smith on repeat. I've been very lucky that my job for the past four years has had a zero minute commute, but that luxury is no longer. My little carpoolers and I will be spending three to four days a week driving once all their activities start in September. Let's cross our fingers and toes right now for a mild winter.
