Twins Days 2013

For now, the Twins Days Festival is more exciting for me than any other member of the family.  The girls are still too little to understand that being twins is special enough to deserve an entire weekend of festivities.  That fact is not lost on me, however.
Around the beginning of summer, the mothers of twins club starts talking about stuffing packets for registration, building a float for the parade and selling buttons at the festival.  Before we know it, the first weekend of August arrives and signs all over our city change to say "Welcome Twins".  I get overwhelmed with gratitude for my twins, for the opportunities being their mom has afforded me and for just happening to live in the city where all this takes place.
After working at the registration table, I met up with Mate and the girls for dinner
We were up bright and early Saturday morning to participate in the parade
Eliana and Mate waiting for us to ride by on the float
Our float won the Mayor's Choice Award
Mate's parents got to experience the festival for the first time on Sunday
The girls had so much fun with their Baba and Dida

We LOVE our Twins
 And their Little Sister, too
