10 Year Reunion

For over a year and a half, the class president and I hemmed and hawed over each detail of our high school reunion.  We quickly realized that planning a reunion for a class as large as ours wasn't going to be easy.  Despite living in different countries and having almost opposite lives, I think we made a great team. As the more sensitive part of the duo, I spent more time than I'd like to admit trying to appease everyone.  Luckily, I could count on Kevin to be decisive and reassure me that we were doing the best we could.  As the date of our reunion approached, we realized that the number of attendees was going to be less than we had anticipated.  I tried not to take it personally, realizing that with a class of over 800 we don't necessarily have the same sense of nostalgia and commraderie that a smaller group might have.  Also, facebook and other social media allow us to keep up with classmates without the potentially awkward reunion, so all we could do was plan and hope for the best.

THE REUNION

I can honestly say that I have not had that much fun in a long time.  We couldn't have asked for a better group of attendees.  It seemed like everyone was geniunely excited to catch up with former classmates and willing to talk to people they never even knew.  From my best friends, to the group who showed up in a limo bus, to the people I had never talked to before, the evening was beyond anything I could have expected.  I am so thankful for the experience and proud to have been a part of such a great night.  Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who supported Kevin and me throughout the process.  We may just have to do this again. . .
A big thank you to this guy for all his support throughout this process
