Twins Days

We participated in our 2nd Twins Days Festival this weekend.  On Friday, I helped with registration while Mate and the girls hung out at home.  I had a great time meeting sets of twins from all over the world.  It got pretty hectic right before my shift was about to end.  I would have been happy to stay and help out some more, but Mate arrived with the girls.  We intended to stay for the hot dog roast and let the girls jump in the bounce houses, but it was too crowded and too hot.

Saturday, we spent a little over an hour at the festival.  We didn't enter the girls into the most-look-alike contest this year, but if they want to participate when they're older, we'll let them.  After some lunch and their first experience with Dip n Dots, we headed over to the playground.  They could have stayed there all day, but we were hot and it was crowded.  On our way out, we ran into our friends and their twins Jackson and Riley.  The kids played for a bit longer and then we headed home.

Sunday, I left Mate at home with the girls so I could work at the button booth run by the Twins Club I belong to.  The members who are in charge of the booth have twins much older than mine, so I don't get a chance to spend much time with them.  After a year in the club, it was great to get to know these ladies a bit more.  I feel lucky to be able to participate in this annual event and can't wait to see how much the girls enjoy it as they grow.
