Taking a Time-Out

I've been getting a little better at taking a time-out from all my household/mommy duties in order to catch up with friends.  This weekend, I got to spend some quality time with the friend I've had the longest.  Katie and I met up for pedicures and then headed back to my house where we gabbed for hours.  We became friends in 5th grade when we discovered our mutual love of dancing and wedding planning. As adults, we not only ended up planning weddings within months of each other, but they took place at the same venue.  I guess it isn't surprising that we live less than five minutes away from each other.  Our friendship has been a constant over the last 16 years of my life, and I truly appreciate the ease of our relationship.  She has been there for every major moment in my life and is one of the few people I trust completely.  I am thankful for all that we have shared and look forward to the future memories (and pedicures).

She was a beautiful bridesmaid at my wedding
