A friend of mine posted this on Facebook and I immediately knew it had to be a blog entry. This is one of the many important lessons I will teach my children. While I want my girls to be confident, I hope that they will have humility. When they find themselves in a situation where someone is upset, I hope they will apologize. I hope my children will be intrinsically motivated to learn and grow from their mistakes. While it's difficult to confront your flaws, there is joy in fixing them. To quote Maya Angelou, "When you know better, you do better". I hope Mia and Ava's lives are full of people who value this ideal.
