We Made It

There's no denying we found plenty to keep us busy during the second part of Mate's time away:
 Brunch with family
School clothes shopping with Baba . . . or Cinderella dress shopping, if you'd prefer.
Labor Day get together at my mom's house
Soaking up the unofficial last day of Summer
 Music class
 Patio dining
 A trip to the library
Practicing plies during her first ballet class
Enjoying a tour of Case-Barlow Farm
 Making butter at the farm
A family sleepover on our last night alone

I slept comfortably at the foot of the bed
We celebrated the end of our 11 days with dinner and dessert
Back together again.

So, you may be wondering if would I encourage Mate to go on another trip in the future.  Yes . . . absolutely . . . without a doubt . . . someday.  My fierce independence isn't always a good thing, but it definitely served me well these past 11 days.  We were in need of a little shake-up around here and this gave us that opportunity.  Mate got a much deserved time-out from some responsibilities, I felt appreciated and the girls had copious amounts of fun.  This is what you call a win - win - win.
