A Very Happy 4th Birthday

This was the first year that Mia and Ava's day-after-Christmas birthday seemed a bit daunting.  Admittedly, tackling a DIY project for their big gift didn't help matters (more on that monstrosity later).  I'm not exactly sure how it all came together, but those details aren't important.  We sure did have a great day celebrating our 4-year-olds:

Sprinkle pancakes for breakfast
The first thing out of their mouths when they woke up: "We are four; we can go to Hilton Head".  IT NEVER STOPS. For the last six months we've been telling them we'll go back when they're four.  Clearly, we thought they'd forget.  Our new answer to their nagging: "We'll go to Hilton Head in June".

3 out of their 4 birthdays have been spent at Chuck E. Cheese.  They love that place!
Birthday Lunch.  They were pretty excited to get their own fountain drinks for the first time.
 Birthday Cake
Time for presents.  We try to avoid shirtless pics, but couldn't resist the little sister pouting because she didn't get a present.  Life is tough.

 The "big" gift

We let them play for a few minutes before bath time (thanks to Mate for tackling that task so I could shower, too).
Time to snuggle and watch Peppa Pig's Birthday Party

We are so excited to see what life is like with two 4-year-olds.
