This week has been quite exciting for the older girls. They had their first T-Ball game on Tuesday and we just returned from their first ballet recital. Watching Mia and Ava have these experiences is one of the best parts of parenthood.
T-Ball consists of 10 kids on each team batting and fielding for 2 innings. In all honesty, not much hitting or fielding actually takes places. Instead, we are the audience to swings that fail to connect, running in the wrong direction, flower picking and chaos when everyone rushes to the same ball. It is joy. Plain and simple.

As much fun as T-Ball is, there is nothing better than a ballet recital, at least not for me. Watching my girls enjoy something that consumed so much of my own childhood sure does make me happy. There may not have been a whole lot of ballet being performed, but the girls and their classmates had the audience captivated. Hopefully, we'll have a video to share soon.
