Okay, I wouldn't go so far as to call myself an entrepreneur, but I like pretending to be a Mompreneur
: a female business owner who is actively balancing the role of mom and the role of entrepreneur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mompreneur). My latest endeavor involved felt . . . lots of felt and glue and scissors and messiness. After making felt trees for a holiday party last year, I wanted to see what would happen if I made some to sell to local mommies. I thought I'd get a handful of orders, but wasn't expecting over 30. After more than a few trips to the craft store, I spent much of my free time on nights and weekends turning my home into a felt tree factory. Let's be honest, I don't really have any free time, so some of my other responsibilities were neglected. The floors didn't get washed one week and Mate had to remind me that he was running low on socks; I think that's okay every once in awhile. I probably could have/should have charged a lot more than I did for each tree, but that's not my style. Like I said, I'm no entrepreneur.

I thought once I blogged about this, I wouldn't have to see any more felt for quite some time, but I just got asked to make a few more trees. One day I will learn to say no, maybe.
