Spring Break

I may not be a classroom teacher anymore, but I still feel connected to my former career.  When the weather is bad, I love to watch school closings pop-up.  I even make sure to check to see if the schools in Toledo are closed.  It's amazing how excited I can be for my former colleagues when I see that they are getting a much deserved day off.  What's even better than a random day off, is a whole week off.  Many of my teacher-friends are currently enjoying Spring Break and I wanted to, too.  There may not have been any days off from my job or travel to a warm destination, but there was plenty of not-our-normal-routine fun:

We had our nieces sleep over for a couple of nights
We found new places to explore
We spent quality time together
We turned the living room into a giant fort and jumped on couches
I enjoyed having some helpers around...
...and rewarding them for all their help.
Spending a few days with 5 little girls was a pretty great way to celebrate Spring!
