Since bringing Eliana home, my long hair has become a bit of a nuisance. It's been stuck in the baby bjorn, pulled, tangled and spit up on one too many times. A few years ago, I decided to donate my hair to Locks of Love. I made the donation around Thanksgiving to show my students that there are many ways you can give to others. At the time, I didn't think there would be another donation in my future. However, once I measured the length of my hair and realized I was going to cut off almost enough to donate, I began contemplating going even shorter. For over a week, I was indecisive. I knew I'd feel guilty if I didn't donate my hair, but I also felt like my hair was something that I could be selfish about. On Friday, my decision become clear when Eliana kept doing this:
Today, I went to the salon and had just over 10 inches cut off. I'll be sending my hair to Locks of Love this week. Hopefully it will make someone's day just a little bit brighter.
My new hairstyle
I think cutting off all that hair helped me drop a couple of pounds. . . bonus!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
