Batteries

Why do so many of the things you need to have for a baby or toddler require batteries?  We have gone through more AAA, AA, C, and D batteries in the last two years than I ever would have thought possible.  As a result, here is some advice for expecting parents or anyone who might be going to a baby shower in the near future: batteries are a great gift!  We've been gifted batteries and I can't tell you how appreciative we were.  A little stock pile should be right up there at the top of the list of essentials.  There is nothing worse than when the swing starts slowing down or a favorite toy stops working and you don't have the right kind of batteries to fix the problem.  Sure, a bunch of batteries may not be the cutest gift, but they are necessary and appreciated.

Trust me, once books like this start to run out of batteries, the sounds they make are enough to drive you crazy.
