As I was leaving the store the other day, a woman made her husband stop in the middle of the road so she could peek in my stroller. He rolled his eyes at her, which I found amusing. Anyway, the lady looked at me and said, "you're doing good, kiddo". I politely thanked her before continuing on my way. However, my first thought was it's well...you're doing well, kiddo, not good. After correcting her grammar in my head, my next thought was did I just get called kiddo? I don't find it offensive, but won't it be weird for my children to hear me referred to as kiddo? Last time I checked, they're the kiddos. It's always an adventure! Which brings me to this saying I saw on pinterest:

Now, it's way too corny to respond to people this way when they point out that I have my hands full, but it is absolutely the way I feel.
