Since I am not about to pretend that I am the perfect parent, I thought it would be a good idea to admit to something that makes me feel a little guilty. I numbered this post because I'm sure there will be more confessions to come as the girls grow. See how happy the girls are in this picture?
No, it's not me that is making them smile...it's Mickey Mouse. Mia and Ava LOVE the beginning and end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They play with their toys throughout the rest of the show, only looking up when there is music. Mate and I get such a kick out of how big they smile when they hear Mickey's voice. I almost smile just as big when Minnie does the Hot Dog Dance...love it!
I admit, I've researched television and it is recommended that babies don't get any "screen time" until they are 2 years old. Guilty.
I applaud those parents who have not turned the T.V. on for their kids, but I'm just not one of them and that's OK. We spend most of our day playing, reading, talking, listening to music and exploring. I don't think their future success in life is going to be compromised by a few minutes of T.V.
