Celebrating 10

We just returned from celebrating our 10th anniversary and what might have been our favorite family vacation, yet.  It started out in Boston, where Mate was attending a conference, moved on to NYC and then a cruise to Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.  Our great big New England adventure was filled with exploring, relaxing, subway riding, laughing, 20,000+ steps a day, conquering Manhattan traffic, breath-taking view after breath-taking view, minimal whining and a whole bunch of gratitude for the experience.  There are way too many pictures to share here, so I'm sticking to our actual anniversary in NYC and the rest can be found on Facebook.
We started our day with breakfast at the Boathouse in Central Park.
 We spent the morning meandering
and made a stop at the Swedish Cottage for a marionette performance of Peter Pan Returns.

The girls took a ride on the carousel
and climbed all the rocks they came across.

We stopped at the Plaza Hotel to visit the Eloise Store
and dined in Little Italy. Although not pictured, we loved sharing this part of our day with our future brother-in-law, who works in the city.
The evening ended in Battery Park with the Statue of Liberty
and a ride on the Sea Glass Carousel at sunset.
Exactly 10 years to the day that Mate and I left for our honeymoon cruise, we were setting sail again, but this time as a party of 5.
