It's a little difficult to plan for Father's Day when it happens to be the day after you get back from vacation. I mean, he'd just spent 8 full days with the girls, eaten out a handful of times and enjoyed a plethora of family activities (all things we'd usually include in a Father's Day celebration). So, I did what I knew he'd like most- nothing. Well, sort of. We let him sleep in, fed him cinnamon roll waffles and then left for three hours. It was just Mate, his iPad and the couch. I returned with the girls minutes before nap time which afforded him a couple more hours of nothing. We ended the day with Chinese take-out, presents and pie.
I remembered (at the last minute) to get this all ready before we left for our trip
They were beyond anxious for him to wake-up
If anyone deserves all this relaxation, it's this guy. To be fair, he planned to mow the lawn while we were gone, but it rained. He was SO disappointed.
A tie from each of his girls, a sweater and a new drill . . . we're getting old.
All celebrations should include pie.
These girls love their Daddy.
