Mommy Confession #11

It's been quite a long time since I made a mommy confession, but I think these two will more than make up for that:

1. I was folding some clean clothes in the laundry room when I noticed that it was really quiet.  Eliana and I went to see what her sisters were up to, but couldn't find them. I yelled their names and became a bit concerned when no one answered.  Then, I glanced across the room and saw the screen missing from an open window.  I quickly made my way outside where I found Mia and Ava trying to climb up onto the trampoline.  Seriously!?!?! They pushed out the screen, crawled onto the deck and made their way across the backyard all in a matter of minutes.  I never thought our girls would be sneaking out through the windows so soon.  Aren't they supposed to save this nonsense for their teenage years?

2. While making dinner the other night, I was completely oblivious to the mess my girls were making.  It wasn't until they proudly announced that they were eating salt, that I realized it would be a good idea to check on them.  I found all three little ladies sitting around the dinner table with an empty salt shaker.  The table and floor were covered, along with their fingers.  Mate arrived home just in time to see the big mess and responded by saying, "I hope they didn't eat too much".  That's when my annoyance at the mess turned into concern.  I was just about to google excess salt in children when I had second thoughts.  I've seen enough crime shows to know computer searches are always used as evidence.   I don't want anyone to think I was perusing the internet for ways to poison my kids.

I learned first hand this past week that quiet children are T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
