In October, Mate will be traveling to Florida for a Pharmacy Conference. While pregnant, I tagged along to his conference in Austin and the girls and I went when it was in Pittsburgh, last year. His expenses are covered through work, so we've always figured it was a great way to get away without a huge investment. I grew up with parents who took us on trips a lot, so traveling just seems like something we should do.

If the conference wasn't in Florida, we wouldn't even be thinking of a Disney trip. However, many of the moms in my twins club have taken their children under the age of 2 and say it was a great experience. I always assumed the girls wouldn't get to go until their youngest sibling was at least 3. It's no secret that Disney is expensive, so choosing when to go is important. Obviously, we have no idea when we'll have more children (planning doesn't work well for us). We think one more baby would be perfect, but won't completely rule out the idea of a fourth. By that time, who knows how old Mia and Ava will be. Maybe it's because they are twins and I sometimes feel guilty about dividing my attention, but the idea of taking them before we have another child is enticing.
They won't need tickets for any of the parks and we can even take them to Breakfast with the Characters for free. More importantly, my grandma is thinking of bringing our niece at the same time. She has taken each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to Disney around their 6th birthday. Our niece, Justine, will be turning 6 in December (hint-hint, Grandma) By the time my girls are 6, my grandma will be 83. She's perfectly healthy and capable, but 5 years is a long time. I want Mia and Ava to be able to say they went to Disney with their great-grandma. I have such vivid memories of my grandma and me whirling around in the teacups, picking out my Snow White costume she paid way too much for, singing
It's a Small World, and walking hand-in-hand down Mainstreet. Those of us who are lucky enough to call her grandma know just how special she is.

Are we going to do and see everything? No. Are they going to get crabby and force us to call it quits in the middle of the day? Probably. Are their faces going to be priceless when they see Mickey Mouse? I hope so. At the end of the day, they won't remember any of it, but we will.
Decisons, decisons, decisions. . .
