I fell in LOVE with this dining room set when we were furnishing our previous house. At that time, only the floor model was available, which was perfectly fine with us. A few minor scratches were more than worth the cost savings. Unfortunately, during the move (you know, the time our storage unit crashed into our house) our little table and chairs sustained some serious injuries. I'm not ready to part with these pieces, nor do I have the talents to fix them. While I wait patiently for some divine "furniture refinishing" intervention, this is what we've got:

More than I love the furniture, I love that I have a framed picture of my maternal great-grandmother and an heirloom rolling pin from my paternal grandmother to display.
That light. Mate and I searched for months to find an affordable light for the dining room. We were quite excited when this arrived. Too bad for us, it was damaged, so we had to send it back and wait for a new one. I suppose that's quite fitting for this room.
