The Little Gym

We took the girls to an introductory class at the Little Gym last night.  Since Mia and Ava turned 1, I've been looking for an activity that the four of us can do together.  We almost signed up for swimming, but it just seems like a bad idea to jump in a pool full of not-so-warm water in the middle of winter.  Plus, the class was at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays. . . no thanks.  Instead, we chose to sign up for a gym class on Friday evenings.  Upon our arrival, we were shuffled into a room full of mats, beams, bars, rings and inflatables.  I won't give you a play-by-play, but the evening involved jumping, singing, tumbling and exploration.  Ava was almost immediately comfortable in this new environment, while Mia needed a bit more encouragement.
They didn't enjoy jumping, so we sat
Mia loved the wheelbarrow
On the way home, we discussed our experience and decided to sign the girls up on a month-to-month basis.  Once they're walking, I think they'll get more out of the class, but we are more interested in the socialization aspect, so we'll start now.

Singing the goodbye song
Time to clean-up
You know your life has changed quite a bit when Friday night is spent singing, clapping, and tumbling with 15 toddlers.

  1. I like how Mate's wearing a shirt and tie to the gym.
